Seri Naturals today announced that its Facebook Page is currently the fastest growing Facebook site in Sri Lanka in terms of likes with an estimated 3000 new fans joining per day. Furthermore, the Seri Miss Sri Lanka Online campaign has generated so much enthusiasm and interest that it has created a viral effect with several blogs, popular personalities and other social media sites reporting on the campaign and their favourite candidates for the title.
Commencing from October 23rd when voting for the Seri Miss Sri Lanka Online campaign started, the Seri Naturals Facebook page accessible at www.serinaturals.com/smsl, has grown from approximately 8370 fans to over 45,265 fans in just one month. Websites such as Elakiri and PinkCloud have run independent articles on the campaign while Twitter has seen a steady stream of tweets about the campaign. Facebook has seen the most amount of news about the campaign with many contestants conducting their own promotions on Facebook.
In addition several local celebrities such as Iraj and Yureni have endorsed the competition on their personal Facebook pages, in addition to several companies such as Coco Veranda, Chinese Dragon and Perera & Sons who have also promoted this initiative to their fan base as an engagement opportunity.
The campaign has now come down to the final 12 contestants who are currently attending workshops covering areas such as media, modeling, fitness, dressing for your body, grooming and other aspects of beauty care, before taking to the stage on December 06th for the finals.
Several sponsors have also partnered with this innovative and engaging competition as it allows them to communicate directly to a captive audience.
